money is and always will be a form of enslavement,but thats just my view.To me it creates divisions in a society and even with anarchy you will still weild power over those who have little of it. whats to stop the rich from creating an army, naming themselves king of all they survey and ruling with an iron fist thru threat of death or violence?

sound like just another cage to me. I'm not well versed in this form of anarchy (anarchy with free market system) so I might be wrong, but what your speaking of sounds like anarcho-capitalism. nice post tho, you made some great points and overall I enjoyed it, I hope to read more in the future. cheers

Since recording time of man you had poor people. Time of Christ he stated, you will always have the poor among you, or at that time slaves! It will never change until God's time if you beleave in a higher power. As one person stated it's not just Government it's the super rich that controll or influence Government. You see it today with most the rebublicain party members. Look no futher than thier front runner Romney! His statement about the poor says it all! The articale doesn't mention the disabled, seniors, veterians and disabled veterians of wars all that payed into social security! Look around the world and more than 50% below poverty and are working slave wages! NAFTA is a big part of why good American jobs are gone and now we see the effects of it. Fact, soon you will be super rich or the working poor for them!

I like your views on things, you raise a lot of excellent points. The reason it would never work is because there are to many evil people out there that would take advantage of the free society buy stealing and killing. Its a nice thought though…

I believe that Hubberts peak is accurate and that we are now past the point of peak oil. I believe many of the current events have to do with this fact and it won't be long before the main stream media and population wake up and understand what is going on. For me and my family, we are preparing for the life after the crash.

Ever consider that government is the cause of such inequality? There's a strong correlation between between free markets and income equality. The most unequal incomes are in the African socialist countries.

I agree with the Libertarian that government programs do not meet the needs of our citizens is on the right path, but aiming at the wrong target. Big Government is not the problem. We are among 80% of our neighbors that have to fight over 38.6% of the income and 7% of the financial wealth in our country. Without a strong government to regulate the greed of a small number of our neighbors that own 93% of the wealth we would be slave labor. Our fight is with the greedy corporations and the super rich, not big government.

Amazingly well done! I'm so glad I found your little corner of the internet, Michael! In fact, I've been struggling for a while to write a similar article on government and poverty for my Ask An Anarchist series, but couldn't get the words down right. Now you've done it for me.
